In this tour you will see the most important architectural monuments in Amsterdam. It starts at the 19th century Central Station and leads you to the remains of the early history of the capital of the Netherlands from around 1300. Then we'll see monumental 17th century canal houses and Royal Palace up to the 20th century father of modern architecture, Berlage, and the Amsterdam School. The tour ends at the Rijksmuseum by Cuypers, the same architect of the Central Station where our tour started. This tour will be guided by an experienced art historian.

About Walda Bosman

Walda Bosman is an art historian. She studied art history and archeology in Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands. Nijmegen was founded by the romans in the first century and Walda loves to talk about this interesting part of history. She's also fond of the medieval stories about Nijmegen and participates in the Gebroeders van Limburg Festival. Since 1995 Walda teaches art history. Not only paintings and sculptures but architecture in particular have her special interest. Though still living in Nijmegen Walda loves being in Amsterdam as often as possible. She was born there and works in the Dutch capital as a professional museum and city guide. Walda has almost twenty years of experience, she speaks fluently Dutch and English (Cambridge Proficiency), she's competent, accurate, cheerful, well-mannered and fun! All her tours are customized to her clients wishes. You can ask her anything you want to, take a rest if you need to and enjoy with walda the monuments, the art, the history and the many stories, everything that you want to see and hear!
